Where to begin…
It’s not the first time we have been and won’t be the last. Glastonbury never ceases to amaze us, the music, the artists, the healing fields, the stages, the food and the people that make it the festival it is today, its just awesome and I would recommend it to anyone of any age, there is something for everyone.
We took the girls along and they had a blast, especially in the kids field and being on Daddies shoulders when bands were playing on the various stages. The kids field was a mini festival in itself, it had its own stage, rides, play areas, face painting, craft areas and much more. We could of spent more time there, but we didn’t want to miss the experience that was waiting just outside.
As we entered the festival we were met with the circus area, which has amazing high rope performers, ribbon artists, tight rope walkers and areas where you can learn various circus skills. Our eldest enjoyed this area and watching the performers in the big top.
As you walk through the festival, there are stalls selling everything you could possibly need to be festival ready, from floral head bands, sequinned clothing, fairy wings, bucket hats – you name it they had it. There is also every type of food you can imagine, you are spoilt for choice and could have something different for every meal for the full 4-5 days. We ate Mexican, Korean, Burgers, to name a few.
The music is obviously the highlight. We didn’t actually see that many “big” acts we tended to stick to the small stages and tents but there is a plenty of variety for everyone! There are dance tents, acoustic areas, pop, rock, rap, you name, they have it at Glastonbury! You’re almost spoilt for choice.
Highlights for us – seeing Elbow, chilling out in the healing fields, hearing new music, meeting new friends and spending time as a family.
Add it to your bucket list!
